Elisa is a Finnish mathematical computer scientist with a keen interest in computational intelligence. Her research jumps around the potential applications of graph theory and machine learning, touching areas such as social sciences, medicine, economics, and forestry.

María Sierra Córdoba Serrano is an Associate Professor (Professional) with McGill University’s M.Sc. (Applied) in Multilingual Digital Communication. She has served in several leadership positions at McGill SCS, including the inaugural Graduate Program Director for this new program until December 2024, Assistant Dean of Curriculum and Program Development (2020–2023) and Director of Translation Studies (2018–2021). 

She has been the driving force behind a series of fundamental programming changes aimed at connecting disciplines and professions in new ways, including the design of the online Multilingual Digital Communication program from the ground up to meet the rapidly changing and interconnected needs of the language/translation, communication and tech/AI industries.

Alan K. Melby is a professor at Brigham Young University. He has been interested in terminology management and terminology exchange since the mid-1980s. He has been involved in various efforts to develop terminology exchange formats, including the terminological data chapter of version P3 of the Text Encoding Initiative guidelines and various terminology-related standards within ISO Technical Committee 37. 

Peter Madahian is the President of the Canadian Language Industry Association (CLIA), General Manager of Exacta Interpreting, and a Board Member of the Ontario Council on Community Interpreting (OCCI). He is a strong advocate for language access, industry collaboration, and bridging gaps to reduce fragmentation.

Allison Ferch is GALA's Executive Director. She has served GALA in several roles and provided leadership for many of the association’s programs and activities. As Executive Director, she leads internal operations at GALA and is responsible for the growth of the association, its financial stability, and for the execution and expansion of programs and services to members.

With 24 years of experience in content management and language services, along with a successful career in IT and business consulting, Mark is a seasoned leader passionate about languages, technology, and transformation. As CEO of Amplexor, he spearheaded the diversification of service offerings across the language and content management value chain, serving a broad range of customer segments in Europe, North America, and Asia. His leadership combined organic growth with strategic mergers and acquisitions, driving sustainable expansion.

Since June 2024, Mark is a member of the Board of Directors of TRSB as an independent advisor. He was appointed to the position of Vice Chairman in November 2024. Mark’s commitment to innovation and strategic growth continues to shape TRSB’s direction, ensuring excellence and long-term success in an evolving industry.

He has been a member of the Leadership Council of Common Sense Advisory (CSA), a leading market analyst firm in the Language Services space. He operated and/or lived in many multilingual countries, such as Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Canada.

With over 25 years of experience in the language services and information technology sectors, Robin is a seasoned executive and a localization visionary. He is the Founder of L10NFiresideChat, a podcast and YouTube channel that explores the fascinating world of localization and its impact across industries. He is also the VP Sales and GM at Lionbridge, a global leader in translation and localization solutions, where he has driven significant revenue and EBITDA growth since 2015.

Comptant plus de 25 ans d’expérience dans les secteurs des services linguistiques et des technologies de l’information, Robin est un dirigeant chevronné et un visionnaire de la localisation. Il a fondé L10NFiresideChat, un balado et une chaîne YouTube explorant le monde fascinant de la localisation et son incidence sur diverses industries. Il est aussi vice-président des ventes et directeur général chez Lionbridge, un chef de file des solutions de traduction et de localisation à l’échelle mondiale. A dedicated and engaged board member, Scott serves as a board director and advisory committee member with several organizations leading private and public sector organizations as well as regulators. He is an independent Board Director for PWC Canada and a Member of the Indigenous Advisory with the Canada Energy Regulator as well as Red Lake Plumbing and Heating and on the Economic Development Corporation for his own community of Pabineau First Nation. Scott also leads the investment committee of a newly established Private Equity fund, of which he is one of the founding partners.

He is a trusted advisor on industry trends and best practices and has experience in rapidly changing environments, including start-ups and large matrix organizations.
